The constant drive in my work has always been a love of both representational art and contemporary art. I've always strived to render the world in a traditional medium with a modern aesthetic. I have often incorporated abstraction, pop art, illustration, patterns, and typography into my figurative paintings and portraits.  At a time when we are overloaded with so many styles and art to choose from, I seek to further develop my love for traditional realist painting while continuing to explore contemporary art elements.

Born in the Philadelphia area, Kate Geiger is a realist painter rooted in figurative painting and portraiture. She earned her BFA from Rosemont College and her MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. From 2014-2016, she was a member of the 3rd Street Gallery in Philadelphia where she served as secretary and events coordinator.
