Abbey Rosko

Abbey makes oil paintings based on the peripheral moments from motion pictures, advertising and videos. Her compositions are born from the photographic imagery she captures using various digital means. The specific characters and settings lose their original motivations and become secondary to the painterly and photographic qualities of their surroundings.

Abbey Rosko is a visual artist currently based in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania.  She earned her BA in studio art from Moravian College in 2015.  She is a recipient of the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant.
